In an effort to build and operate wind turbines cost-effectively and efficiently, W2E insists from the start on exact planning and measuring and on verifying modeling concepts.
W2E examines engineering components and their interfaces by means of time series and model analyses, and by means of considerations about dynamics and vibration behaviour.

Technical concepts are tested and evaluated by means of simulation of MultiFlexible Body Dynamics, analyses of drive train behaviour and with FEM calculations. W2E examines in detail the fatigue strength of the materials for each wind turbine technology.
All wind turbines developed by W2E are measured by independent bodies in preparation of the certification process. Accredited institutes develop comprehensive reports. They evaluate the following aspects of the wind turbine:
The measuring results are used for the verification of design data and modelling concepts and for optimizing the wind turbine's operational behaviour.
160 M LATTICE TOWER >>> The nacelle of the prototypes of the 2.5 MW wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 90 m was erected on a lattice tower 160 m in height. The overall height of the structure is 205 m.
The project was built in Laasow near Cottbus (in the State of Brandenburg, Germany) in cooperation with Fuhrländer AG as licensee and manufacturer of the nacelle, and SeeBa Energiesysteme GmbH as manufacturer of the lattice tower.
The W2E group sells the technologies for complete wind turbines under licence. Licencees can produce, install and operate these wind turbines with the aid of documentation and/or technology transfer. The W2E group customers include:

All wind turbines offered under licence are developed according to the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive and the Guideline for Certifying Wind Turbines (Germanischer Lloyd WindEnergie GmbH, vol. 2003 with 2004 Supplement 2004) and have been certified by independent accredited institutes.
