For W2E, support means to accompany the licensee or customer with competence:
During cooperation between W2E and customers, developed system solutions are designed, tested and optimized. Results and evaluations in turn are utilized in the process of developing the wind turbines.
In every phase of the licenced wind turbine's life cycle, W2E closely cooperates with the licensee, provides support in supplier relations and helps with the evaluation and implementation of changes in systems and components. W2E also supports the working processes of installation, erection and startup of the prototypes.
W2E has technical, organizational and business experience in the power plant and wind energy industry. Many years of system partnerships with suppliers help in the correct evaluation of requirements in wind energy technology and in their practical implementation.
REPLACEMENT OF MAIN COMPONENTS WITHOUT MOBILE CRANE >>> Should a heavy machine component, such as a rotor blade, rotor bearing, main gearbox, transformer or switch gears fail, 2.5 MW wind energy plants by W2E DO NOT require a mobile crane. For the 2.5 MW wind turbines, a movable crane system can be utilized as an alternative to a mobile crane when large components must be replaced.
The standard is that the wind turbine has traverse cranes in the nacelle. The associated crane is easy to transport and can be stored for single use together with the winch at the respective service base. The movable crane is pulled by its own winch to nacelle height and completely assembled. A divisible ground frame allows for the lowering of heavy loads up to 25 tonnes. It means lower costs in case of damage, which also lowers the cost of insurance premiums for the operator.
The use of this crane system is of particular economic interest in case of towers above 100 m.
... WITH LITHIUM ION ACCUMULATORS >>>
Similar to condensers, these accumulators can deliver and accept very high currencies, even at low temperatures. For that reason there are no contactors in the pitch system which would have to be switched in case of a power failure. Brake choppers and accumulator loading units are unnecessary.
Under this system, recognition of the so-called Fault Right Through (FRT) voltage drop according to Transmission Code 2007, the BDEW Medium-Voltage Power Grid and other grid codes is not required.
If needed, the accumulator can also be replaced by high-performance condensers without further modifications. This means that the wind turbine can be operated according to market requirements.
THE PLUG&PLAY CONCEPT >>> is a central development criterion. It is feasibility-tested and implemented for all systems and components.
